Does the iPhone work internationally if i get it unlocked?

I want to get the iPhone, but i don't know how long i will be overseas. So i was wondering if the iPhone works just like the Blackberry i know that one is internationally used. Please help me to clear this up. Thanks so much!|||The iPhone will work internationally with AT%26amp;T service without being unlocked. It will also cost a fortune. An unlocked iPhone will allow you to use other carriers' sim cards. However, factory unlocked iPhones are only available online in the US and that's only rarely. The vast majority of unlocked iPhones sold on sites like eBay have been hacked and the unlock is not permanent and they are ridiculously easy to re-lock. Right now, if you re-lock, there's no way to unlock it again.

Factory unlocked iPhones are available in certain foreign countries. They are expensive but if you travel frequently, they are your best choice.|||we have the iphone can use all country.free use.dual sim .smart phone.lowest price .

|||It depends ....

If you have it locked to AT%26amp;T ... then it will work as roaming outside USA .. and it would cost you a lot for incoming or outgoing calls ...

If your phone is Officially unlocked though ( Which is an expensive iPhone to buy, about 1000$ for the iPhone without any plan) ... then you can use any other SIM card with the iPhone ... so you can use Vodaphone SIM card for example if you were in Europe ... and you would use the iPhone as if it's a local phone ... this would be the most convenient financially wise ..

The Blackberry service is something else though .... Blackberry provides you with Data plan wherever you are .. so you would get internet access without extra fees internationally .. that's the only added value to Blackberry.|||The iPhone will work internationally. There are a number of factors to take into account

1) If you have an existing mobile phone contract and travel overseas call charges are expensive. Also data charges are expensive. You can stop data roaming by going Settings --%26gt; General --%26gt; Network ensure Data Roaming is set to OFF.

2) If you can get hold a sim free iPhone you will be able to put an overseas sim card in it. You will however need to register the iPhone each time you switch sim card. Call charges should be cheaper and data, if included, could be cheaper.|||If you unlock the iPhone yourself you will save a lot and you should be able to use the the sim as your Blackberry. It really depends on what carrier you are planning on using.
