Iphone......?

i don't have an ipod, but i have a phone from T-Mobile

i want to get an itouch, but since an iphone is about $100 cheaper should i buy the iphone and not use it as a phone?

what are the downs in doing this?

thanx

=]|||the iphone is only cheaper if you get the plan too, but there are ways to hack the iphone (if you're willing) so that it is compatible with T-Mobile. Heres the website: http://www.iphonegeek.com/iphone-unlock.html

I have an iphone that is not jailbroken and it beats the itouch by 100-1. it is easily the best mobile device out there. If you buy one, i guarantee you will not be disappointed, even if you don't use it as a phone.

Hope this helped.|||An iPhone is only cheaper if you sign the contract. Then you will be obligated to pay the monthly fee.

The iTouch costs $299 for 8GB, $399 for 16 GB and $499 for 32 GB.

Personally, I prefer to surf the net with a computer and so I got an iPod Classic, 80 GB for $249.|||The down in your solution is that the iPhone is not available for purchase for $199 or $299 without a contract. Without a contract, it costs $599 or $699. Thus, the iPod Touch would be cheaper.
